Obama says 'enough is enough' in Ohio midterm push

Former president attacks Trump administration's war policy and defends Democratic governor candidate Amy Acton during a rally in Ohio.

Barack Obama declared that Ohio voters have a chance to end two years of chaos on Saturday. The former president spoke at a midterm election rally to support Democratic candidates in the state.

Obama criticized President Donald Trump's second term, specifically targeting the US-Israel war on Iran. He described the conflict as an unnecessary war that nobody asked for, calling it one of a series of bad decisions by the current administration.

The former president urged voters to reject the Republican leadership. He stated that after two years of incompetence and cruelty, the public can finally say, 'Enough is enough.' He characterized the current period as unlike anything seen in the modern era.

Obama also addressed a controversial attack advertisement in the Ohio gubernatorial race. Republican candidate Vivek Ramaswamy aired a spot featuring Donna Arthur, the mother of Democratic nominee Amy Acton. In the ad, Arthur disputes her daughter's account of homelessness and sexual abuse by a stepfather, urging voters not to support Acton.

Acton said she has not seen her mother since 1978. Her brother supported her account, noting that their stepfather, who died in 2004, had been charged with rape. Obama backed Acton, saying she spoke movingly about the abuse, neglect, and homelessness she experienced as a child.

Former Senator Sherrod Brown shared the stage with Obama. Brown is running against incumbent Republican Senator Jon Husted. Recent polls indicate a slight lead for Democrats in both races, though results are expected to be close.
